My Halloween/Halloween weekend was eventful! My focus for the weekend of Halloween was to really focus on having fun this weekend and not worrying about any of the teacher stress such as lesson plans, grades, and all the craziness that comes with the weekend in general! All I cared about was making my favorite holiday ever as fun and relaxing as ever!
So I kicked off my Halloween weekend with reading this spooktacular Halloweenie book that I am still reading btw! I am hoping to do a book review of this book hopefully next weekend! This is my first Alexandra Bracken book and so far I love her writing style!
Over the weekend I went to a Halloween party and grabbed a $10 dress I found in a Wynwood thrift store a few months ago, ordered a red wig and scarf from Amazon, and I was Lucille Ball for the day!
After all the party craziness, on Monday, October 30th I took a well-deserved “mental health day” at my favorite bookstore Books & Books located in Coral Gables and made Instagram stories about my favorite book Moxie! It was a pretty amazing day especially since the day was actually a nice sweater day which is a raaare occurrence with Miami weather! See my book blog post about my trip to Books & Books here!
Finally the day of Halloween I had an amazing day with my kids! We had a Halloween parade and did some candy corn inspired activities!
Then when I got home I went to an adorable Halloween parade in my neighborhood! They had all these fall decorations that I just live for! Loved every minute of it! And of course, I tortured my cat and dressed him up in different Halloween costumes!
After the Halloween parade, I had to rush back home because Trick or Treaters started to knock on our door at 7 on the dot! We live on a popular street so the Trick or Treaters hit us hard! Every year we need to get at least three bags of Halloween candy!
The rest of the night was filled with some pretty epic Halloween costumes!
My spooktacular day ended with these delightful cupcakes from my favorite cupcake store Twice as Sweet!
We spent the rest of the night stuffing our face with cupcakes and watching Hocus Pocus in traditional Halloween fashion! Comment below and share your Halloween day with me!
