Where do I start?! I am currently extremely anxious for summer vacation to start! I am a First Grade Teacher! Need I say more?!
I am soooo ready to delve into my summer vacation full force and I am so excited that in July that it’s going to be my one-year anniversary since I have had my book blog! I can’t believe that I have stuck with this blog for more than six months! You have no idea how many blogs I have started and deleted over time! This is a major deal for me!
Even though it’s almost been a year that I have had this book blog up I honestly have been struggling to be consistent with you guys but I have resolved to not give up on this blog and to stick it out! Usually, I resolve to post twice a week and I know there are times that I post once or none at all for two weeks! I apologize for this and I am working on it! Teaching is a struggle guys and I think this year has been one of my biggest struggles! My goal is to post at least five times a week and I am making it a goal that it will happen this year!
Books I Have Read/Listened to This Month:
I was so excited to read this book since it’s about a family of witches but I felt that there were some crazy twists in the story that changed the overall tone of the book! The book just turned a dark turn rather quickly and it kind of ended at a cliffhanger! As a huge fan of Leslye Walton’s writing, I loved the writing as usual but I am hoping for a second book to the Price Guide to the Occult because this time it wasn’t a five star read for me.
I am a huge self-help freak and I listen to about one self-help book every month! Mostly I listen to my self-help books on Audible and I thought this book was cute but it had a lot of hooky “self-helpy” advice! Many corny sayings were thrown in there like “joy root” and “play with the world.”
Anything by Lauren Graham I just gobble up! This woman is my jam and I loved her book Talking As Fast As I Can so naturally I purchased the Audible to this book! Overall this book is the epitome of short and sweet! Basically, the book is an extended version of Lauren Graham’s graduation speech that she gave at her alma mater! It would make a great gift for a recent grad and it’s chock full of wisdom and hope! Love anything by my Lauren Graham!
April has been a great reading month for me believe it or not! Actually, this year has been an amazing reading year for me in general! There have been months last year where I have only read one book a month or none! I am very jealous of you guys that get to read 8 books in one month! That’s so not possible for me as a school teacher so far but I am still trying to make that a goal and Audible is a huge help! Although I am hoping to finish two more books before May!
Happy Friyay lovies! I am going to spend it reading with a glass of wine with my fav cat slippers!
